VIDEO DIALOGUE:

REALTOR’s Log: Coronavirus, COVID-19 Quarantine, day 436.

It’s been a long hard road for all of us here.  I’ve been scanning meme’s daily, trying to make sense and sensibility of this mess.  The president doesn’t appear to know what’s happening any more than the rest of us, local government is answering questions with… answers… and the Tiger King is still after Carole Baskin from the other side of the moon.

What’s happening in Real Estate?  How are we still doing deals, amidst the pandemic?

Virtual tours, folks.  That’s how we’re doing it these days.  I’ve actually been previewing a fair amount of homes lately because frankly it is a good time to go ahead and get pre approved and get a low rate locked in if you can.  That changes daily, so you’ll need to talk to a mortgage broker about when the best time for you might be.

But let’s get real, there’s a lot that is unknown about what’s going to come out of all of this.  If you’re looking for a house right now, there is a large pool on the market even though some people are waiting to list. Working with a REALTOR is a benefit now more than ever, because we may have access to listings before they hit the market.

The real message this week?  Stay home.  Let’s get through this.  We’ve got a long road ahead of us.  When you leave the house, and I know you are leaving the house, wear a mask if you’re going to be in a public place.  Whether there are people there or not.  Set an example for your neighbors.  I’ve got mine handy at all times when I have to be out.  Gloves are a good idea too, because you might not have an immediate way to wash your hands when you need to touch something of your own and you don’t want to leave those nasty virus germs on your stuff so you can pick them up later.

I hope that you stay well and healthy, and I will see you on the other side.  Along with Carole Baskin – because evidently she can’t be caught.
